Don’t feel bad, you’re not the only person to think that nor are you the only person ever to talk to themselves (some of our creators do it quite frequently, hence the reason they have their own office all to themselves.)

This Japanese model-kit company hands out a business card that shows a potential customer what their business has to offer.  The card comes apart and from it you can build an F1 Car, a fighter plane or even a warship.  Now this works for them as a company, but in reality it’s not overly practical. Not every customer has time to take apart a card and then try to figure out how to put it back together again. It’s a very cool concept, but not realistic in everyday business.

This “Green “business card is definitely a cool concept, with a little water poured into the packet you can grow yourself some alfalfa sprouts. Sadly you’ll have to provide the rest of the salad and whatever dressing you feel like putting on the salad that day (we here at 1079 prefer a nice tangy vinaigrette, but each to their own) Again this is a wonderful concept for the business it’s promoting, but sadly after you’ve grown the sprouts, what do you do with the card?

Now don’t get us wrong, we LOVE all these wonderful designs and the creative minds that have come up with them, the only problem is that they’re not overly practical in everyday business life  nor are they really easy to mass produce to hand out to potential customers.

To us a business card should be sleek, colorful and memorable, the customer should want to look at your card and it should plant a small seed in their mind because it’s unique and memorable (but not an alfalfa seed, because no one wants alfalfa growing out of their ears)

Remember you cards don’t have to be over the top like the ones above, but it does have to be memorable.
